About the Book

Blackberry Whispers, a book of poetry by Angela Ray

Bold. Insightful. Delicate. Powerful.  These are just a few words that describe the verses so masterfully choreographed in Blackberry Whispers.  Conceived in four parts- Chit Chat, The Juice, Mellow Murmurs and Light Vibes & Spoken Word, each section gives the reader a glimpse of life through the lens of Angela Ray.  The reader experiences her concept of love, faith, success and how she defines living as a Black woman in the South during the artistic explosion of culture that has been impacted by the era of social media.  Originally published in 2004, Ray’s new edition was updated in 2018.
